Microsoft will release the Accessories App (and supposedly a patch) on tuesday 27th. You won't believe how many hours i've wasted talking to Microsoft about this issue and they always kept telling me I had to get a replacement for the receiver and/or something is wrong with my machine! I've been through that, the MS guy couldn't help with anything.Thank you very much for post this, it works, but I got one more problem: the controller doesn't vibrate when I use it wirelessly and I'm pretty sure it vibrates well when it wired, I tried some games like COD10, BF4 and Crysis 3, the controller just didn't vibrate, and like always, the MS guys couldn't help, any one also got the same problem?Īs I stated in my opening post, it SEEMS like everyone has that issue, even those folks who got the receiver to work out of the box.
If I helped someone and that nice person feels sort of generous I'd be happy about a Steam gift :P It seems like with the upcoming Windows 10 build in early November EVERY version of Win10 should be able to detect the correct driver on its own and no longer install it as an unknown device. Controller and Wireless dongle should pair and work just fine! Audio and Vibrations included! Navigate to the folder where you unpacked the downloaded thingyġ1. Right click the device, select update driver, select choose manuallyĩ. It should show the troublesome receiver as an unknown device called "XBOX ACC"Ĩ.
